More than $50,000

Thank you once again for all your donations and well wishes. You have now donated more than $50,000 to my rides. This is truly incredible and so heartwarming!! All of that has gone directly to the Dana Farber-Cancer Institute.

If you would like to know how the funds from 2024 were used please check out the Pan Mass Challenge Impact Chart. Thank you and congratulations.

Thanks again to my road crew for carting me all over the state. I can’t express how much I appreciate the 4 am wake ups, dinners and encouragement.

Day 1

This year I have to say there really wasn’t a challenge. Both days were pretty much perfect. At the start of the ride in Wellesley Mike Timlin spoke. He did a wonderful job. We took a moment to think about who we were riding for. He also spoke about Tim and Stacy Wakefield and their children. It was pretty emotional. The weather was nice, but I have to say, the start of both days were really cool, about 50 degrees. The first day, I wore my jacket while waiting at the start, but like a knucklehead, took it off to start the ride. It was cold, teeth chattering cold ๐Ÿฅถ. As we continued it did warm up and after that the day was tremendous. The country on the way to the cape is really beautiful. There are stone walls, farms, horses, In some ways it doesn’t even seem like Massachusetts. The people that come out and the volunteers are also great. A woman filling up water bottles asked me how the ride was going. I said “great how’s your right arm doing”. I think filling hundreds of water bottles should be an Orange Theory workout.

Every year there are some extra nice jesters that I really love. This year it was all the pre ride texts. Also, after my ride on the first day this sign greeted me at the house.

Wicked Strong

My neighbor from Georgia stole the sign from the side of the road (so very Revere of him) and planted it on my front lawn. So, sorry for one less sign on the route.

Day 2

Day 2 was cool again to start, but this time I wore my jacket. So it was cool, but I was prepared. Most rider’s favorite part of the ride is the Cape Cod Canal at sunrise. The mist coming off the water, fishermen, and sunrise ahead of you, create a picture perfect view. This year I got a picture.

From my Road Crew

The pickup was flawless this year! After that my entire road crew met me at the house. All seven of them.

My Road Crew

You always meet really nice people. This year there was an older man walking in front of me. He said he was walking kind of slow, and said I could walk past him. I asked how many years has he been riding. He said 22. I said I was thinking of retiring after 10. He said you can, but we’ll all talk about you. I am not sure I can have everyone talk about me so god willing maybe we will see you all next year.

From the bottom of my heart. Thank you to everyone who has ever donated or encouraged me to ride ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ™.
