Thank you for supporting my ride and giving me the privilege of taking part in PMC 2021. This year I rode on Sunday for 101 miles. It was an amazing ride and exciting to see everyone out and coming together for a great cause. We raised $3360 bringing the lifetime total to $28279!

My Ride

As far as my ride went, my road crew dropped me off at 6:30 am and I was off. I may have been a little bit too excited to start. Early on I found myself at the beginning of a bunch of riders and whoops I missed a turn and almost got the whole bunch of us lost. But it was all good. I made some friends and we continued on.

The Gillette Stadium water stop was the coolest water stop ever. Riding up the road with all the Patriots banners on both sides and Gillette Stadium in front of you was really cool.

From about miles 30 to 50 things got so easy. I couldn’t really figure it out why, maybe I was on a slight downhill, maybe there was a tail wind or maybe our angels were giving me just a little push. That’s what I will choose to believe.

I am not going to lie, 101 miles was very challenging for me, not for the 70 year old ladies blowing by me, but it was for me. At around 80 miles it took all my strength just to keep pedaling. Having said that, the strength I needed pales in comparison to the strength needed by those fighting this disease. So I hope they felt our energy and good wishes and we can do this again next year.

As always thank you so much,
