I have committed to taking part in PMC 2023. God willing it will be my 8th year. In 2016 my intent was to ride this ride once and self fund my ride. That year a couple of my best friends were diagnosed and I thought it would be nice to reach out, with no pressure, and let others donate. Since then we have raised more than $35,000.
Since 2016 I have been given donations and encouragement from family, friends of all ages, friends from work, friends from high school, friends of friends and it is all appreciated. I have always said it’s really not fair you guys donate and I get to have all the fun.
This year I would like to ride so I might send some positive recovery energy to someone who might need it.
I still ride for those Who fought a good fight, Who finished their course and Who kept the faith and for those who are continuing to fight and I want to fight right along side them. So won’t you join me.
As always 100 percent of all rider-raised funds go directly to cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund. The PMC is Dana-Farber’s single largest supporter and is 55 percent of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue. Since 1980, the PMC has raised $831 million for Dana-Farber.
